Portals is an exploration of humanity’s fascination with the conceptual threshold of science, philosophy, mathematics, and spirituality. Across cultures, portals have symbolized transitions between worlds, states of consciousness, and ways of understanding our place in the universe. While modern science has been unable to find evidence for literal gateways or a measurable soul, it has revealed patterns that challenge us to consider the nature of consciousness itself.

The works in this series draw inspiration from fractals, self-organizing systems, waveforms, cellular structures, and the geometry found throughout nature. These repeating forms appear in galaxies, coastlines, blood vessels, neural networks, and even the electrical activity of the brain, suggesting an underlying order.
